Our mission
To help organisations grow by connecting them with exceptional people and the technology that lets those people do their best work.
We exist because most organisations are solving two problems at once — finding the right people, and building the right systems. Vertex does both, under one roof.
Vertex was built on a straightforward observation: the organisations that grow well are the ones that get their people and their technology right at the same time — and almost every advisor only helps with one of them.
That split causes more damage than it looks like it should. A recruitment partner fills a team without knowing the systems those people will be handed. A software supplier builds a platform without knowing who will operate it or whether the roles exist yet. Each does competent work, and the result still fails to add up, because the two halves of the problem were solved in separate rooms by people who never spoke.
We work across both. Our recruitment and HR consultants build the teams and the frameworks that let an organisation scale. Our technology and outsourcing teams build and run the systems those teams depend on. Because those functions sit together, the advice joins up — and there is one place to go when something does not.
Our clients range from startups finding their footing, to established SMEs professionalising as they grow, to enterprises that need specialist capacity at short notice. The engagement models differ enormously. The standard does not.
How we work matters as much as what we do. We start with the problem rather than the proposal, because the brief we are handed is often a symptom of something further upstream, and saying so early is more useful than agreeing quickly. We tell you what we actually think — including when the answer is that you do not need the thing you asked us to quote for. We aim to leave you self-sufficient rather than dependent, which means writing things down and training your people properly. And we stay after delivery, because the value of most work shows up months later, not on handover day.
We are deliberately clear about our limits, too. We are not the cheapest option in any of our service lines, and we are not the right partner for an organisation that wants a supplier to take instructions without questioning them. What we offer is judgement, continuity, and one accountable relationship instead of five contracts that each cover part of the problem.
To help organisations grow by connecting them with exceptional people and the technology that lets those people do their best work.
To be the partner that startups, SMEs and enterprises call first when the challenge involves people, process or technology.
Honesty over the easy answer. Rigour over speed for its own sake. Long relationships over single transactions.
Before proposing a solution we make sure we understand the constraint you are actually working against.
If a brief will not achieve what you want, we say so early rather than delivering it anyway.
Documentation, training and handover are part of the work, not an upsell.
Most of our work comes from clients who came back. That only happens if the first engagement held up.
Whether you are hiring, restructuring, or building something technical — start with a conversation.
